OUIL503- Illustration Friday (HOT)

Research

I wanted to keep the research for this one quite minimal, as I thought it would be easy to get hung up on illustrating a particular place rather than focusing on the 'hot' element. I googled colour palettes and then simply went ahead with the sketching of roughs.

I thought this would be a perfect way to tackle my issues with colour. Being colour blind, I struggle to really experiment with colour schemes and ways of using colour effectively.

I wanted to create a feeling of the place being hot, without using direct signifies. I didnt want to worry too much about the composition of the image, so I used an isometric grid as used in a previous Illustration Friday, this meant I could focus much more on the colours I use in the image.

I actually really like this image, I think the colour scheme is really successful and I think the image works well as an illustration for 'hot'. The work flow for this brief was smooth and I didn't really run into any issues along the way. Quite a successful brief overall.
