OUIL505- Sheffield Winter Gardens- Development

After moving forward with my finalised initial idea for the Sheffield Winter Gardens illustration, I worked on my iPad and tried to get the developed rough looking as close to the finished product as possible.

I wanted to focus on the values of the image a lot more during this stage, especially because I was not really wanting to think about colours at this point.

I am really pleased with how this image is progressing. I think the composition is really interesting and I love the calm and relaxed mood of it. The one thing I am worried about is using the plants in the image. I think the way I have drawn the plants looks quite cartoony, and I wanted the final images to have a more realistic feel to them to better reflect that the winter gardens are a real place. This is something I will look to address in the final development of the image.
